Widowmakers Character Cards

Well, the new Kickstarter campaign is off to a great start! Since it looks like we’re going to be unlocking the Widowmakers really soon, I thought now would be a good time to show off their Character Cards so you can see what kind of stats they’ll have :) And heck, if you want to give em a test drive with some other models, go right ahead, and let me know how the game went :)

Also, on that note, I also have the card for Kurt Wyatt ready to go, so you can download that one too. “Are you gonna do something… or just stand there and bleed?”

Let me know what you think! :)

A Couple of Lovely Ladies

Got some new art :) First we have Janey Bower. She’ll be with Uncle Zeke and Hugh Brocket in the Clancy Gang Prospecting Team support pack. She was done by Wayne O’Connor.

Next we have Lorrie Shakes. she’ll be with Christian Kluge and Erik Jurgensen in the Vigiliance Committee Town Defenders support pack. Lorrie was done by Heath Foley.

And last but not least, I wanted to share a new Kickstarter campaign, Bombshell Babes by Bombshell Miniatures. Bombshell is run by Patrick Keith, who sculpted a couple of our miniatures. He’s got his own company now, focusing on sculpting gorgeous ladies. To help out with a little cross promotion kind of thing, I created a special character card for one of the bombshells, Dusty Paige. When the model is released, you can use her in your games with the card below :) Just click the download link and print it out!

Upcoming Releases

Howdy folks!

I just wanted to give everyone an update as to what’s been going on behind the scenes and what’s coming. The 2 Gang Leader figures that I had produced earlier this year are no longer available, they are now being renamed and repackaged for our big retail launch of the game that will happen toward the end of the summer.

We are planning to have all miniatures in box sets, no old fashioned blisters dangling from your game shop’s walls. There will be 3 types of box sets: Starter sets that have 5 figures each, add-on packs with 3 figures and hired guns with 1. All miniatures will also come with pre-made character cards for each figure, and the starters will also come with quickstart rules. The characters in the starters will be 1 Gang Leader, 2 Professionals and 2 Henchmen and each gang will have 400 Fame. Hired guns can be added to your gang 1 for every 5 normal models and each Hired Gun will have special abilities or weapons not available to standard characters.

So our initial release will be 4 starter sets, 3 Hired Guns and a printed full color (but smaller sized) rulebook. The starters will be The Clancy Gang, The Vigilance Committee, The Bloodwolf Tribe and Los Bandidos Mexicanos. The hired guns will be John Blackwood (previously the Bounty Hunter Gang Leader), Mickey Finn (previously the Gambler Gang Leader) and The Norwegian. All minis will come with character cards and the starters will also have quickstart rules.

The new rulebook will have some minor updates to the rules we have now, but mostly the book is just being rewritten to say “Use the character cards that came with your models to form your gang, or you can use these additional rules to make your own gang from scratch.” The rules will also be available in a PDF like now, but it will be mostly plain text.

One other new addition to the rules will be that the leader of each of our starter sets will also have a special ability that carries over to all other members affiliated with his gang. You can play with any number of models from any gang you want, but the more you have affiliated with the leader, the more get the special skill. For example, since the Clancy Gang are all mean outlaws, their special ability is they get a -1 to their to hit target number if they attack from behind. If the leader of your gang is the Clancy Gang leader, all other Clancy models in your gang will get that skill. So, you could have your Clancy Gang running around with a couple of Bloodwolf tribesmen. Those natives won’t get the attack from behind bonus, just the Clancy members will.

Anyway, after that initial release, the next “wave” will be a 5th starter set and 3 more hired guns, based on the characters designed by the high level Kickstarter backers. And then after that, we’ll be working on the 3-man add on sets for each gang. The 3-man sets will all come with 1 professional and 2 henchmen.

Like I said, this will all start happening toward the end of the summer, but for retail stores. Those of you who backed the Kickstarter will get your models sooner :)
