New Scenario – Boom Went the Dynamite

Howdy folks!

We just put together an all new scenario for you to play, Boom Went the Dynamite. In this scenario, your gangs will be fighting over crates of dynamite and if you get close enough, you can toss it at your enemies!

This scenario was inspired by Aetherwork’s terrain, namely their crates of TNT and carts. They also make a lot of great laser cut wood building kits too.

So, you can click below to download the PDF. Have fun!

If you have any ideas for other special scenarios, feel free to share on the forums!

Wylde’s Rangers Gang Bio

Answering an appeal from Mayor Horndike, the US government sent a small contingent of weapons and soldiers to help protect the town. Operating out of nearby Camp Goldrock, they’ve made a name for themselves locally as Wylde’s Rangers. Though it soon became clear that they were just here to make off with as much gold as they could carry.

Sergeant Wylde leads his men to battle in the town streets and outskirts. He’s know as a tough, but fair man… Fair enough to take your gold, and maybe let you live if you keep your mouth shut. His second in command is Corporal Thompson, who also acts as the camp’s medic. Privates Connors, Watson and Ambler complete the squad, along with some heavy artillery. They often argue over who gets to shoot hoodlums with their Gatling Gun next, which they’ve aptly named The Spitter.

Wylde’s Rangers is a new gang for Blackwater Gulch. They will be featured in our upcoming Kickstarter campaign in couple of weeks.

Secret Fist Gang Bio

The Blackwater Lines Railroad employed many Chinese and Asian workers and laborers, but once the railroad was finished, many were simply laid off with no place to go. Some left town, others stayed but found it hard to get by on their own in a town full of people who didn’t understand their language or culture. Soon after, many Asians banded together to form the Secret Fist and now run the Oriental Quarter to protect other citizens of their kind.

The Secret Fist is lead by Mr. Foo, a massive man who operates a small pig farm just on the edge of town. His livestock are often used to hide evidence, they’ll eat anything or anyone for the right price. Chang is his right hand man, an adept gunsligner who’s sixguns never miss their mark. His old friend, Dr. Hoo, runs a small herbalist shop in town, and secretly supplies opiates to the more well-to-do in town. The exotic beauty Jen Choi and her cousin Fu Tang round out the Secret Fist as henchmen, running odd jobs around town and always ready to back up their friends in a fight.

The Secret Fist is a new gang for Blackwater Gulch. They will be featured in our upcoming Kickstarter campaign in couple of weeks.

Clancy Gang Character Cards

I’ll be putting together PDFs of the Character Cards for each gang, and here’s the first set, for the Clancy Gang.

The Starter Sets will come with nice glossy printed cards, but if you lose your cards or need a replacement, or if you just want to check out the gang’s stats, you can just download the PDF.

To make the cards all you have to do is print it out, cut along the solid line and then fold each card in half along the dotted line. They will fit perfectly inside your average sized playing card sleeves or pages.

New Army Builder Files

Hey folks!

Just got back from GenCon. Had a real blast and it was great meeting some of you and showing off the game and the new models. I dropped off the final greens with Iron Wind there at the show so now they can get started turning them into metal. I really can’t wait to get everything released, we’re in the home stretch now :)

Blackwater Gulch Army Builder Data FilesAnyway, being a long time fan of Army Builder, I’m super happy to announce that we have just finished the data files for Blackwater Gulch!

You will have to import the data files manually right now. We’ll get it added to their official game listing soon, then you can automatically update it whenever something changes or we add new characters to it. To import the files, start up Army Builder and click “Import File” from the Get Started menu. Then browse to the location where you saved the data files and it will import them for you.

Right now the files will let you create your own custom gang and gang members, and it has the character info for the Clancy Gang, Bloodwolf Tribe and Hired Guns. We’ll get the Vigilance Committee and Bandidos Mexicanos added soon, so the files will all be ready to go by the time the models are released. These files were all put together by Bryan Nutting, download em and you’ll see he did a really great job! Thanks Bryan!
