We got photos of the last sculpt for the Tranquility Crew today, Adam James. He was the last figure we needed for the last gang and for the Kickstarter campaign.
Here’s pics of each sculpt. From top to bottom we have Captain Nathan Reinholdt, Dr. Simmons, Adam James, Julie the ship’s mechanic and Reverend Shepard. The whole gang was sculpted by James Van Schaik.
Also, we have the character cards all ready to go for the gang, click here to download a PDF, if you want to see what they can do!
Here is the first draft for the Widowmakers sculpts.
There will be a few tweaks to the clothing and Nightshade will get old fashioned Colt 45 revolvers instead of the more modern looking pistols. But, this is still more or less how they’ll look. Click to enlarge .. Hope ya like em!
All we have on deck is 1 more sculpt for the Tranquility Crew and then we’ll have everything done from the Rebels & Reinforcements Kickstarter. So stay tuned for more pics!
Celebrate International Tabletop Day at Little Shop of Magic in Las Vegas this Saturday!
Mike Edmunds will be running some special games of Blackwater Gulch. Lots of gunfights and the Clint Eastwood Challenge, see how many henchmen he can kill before someone takes him down!
So stop by and play if you’re in the area!
You may have noticed we have an all new homepage now. I was halfway through another redesign when I decided this would be a better direction to go. So, this will eventually be the same layout for the rest o the site, but, baby steps…
One reason I went with this look was to build something that will look good on a variety of devices. So, if you make your browser window smaller on the homepage, you’ll see the content boxes reposition themselves so it will look good on a tablet or a smartphone too. Try it out!
Eventually we’ll be releasing new games and the site will still be the same, just with a different “skin” for each game. We’re working on a new sci-fi game now that will have the same rules. I’ll have more info on that later when we get some artwork and sculpts to show off
If anything looks “broken” with the new design please contact me or leave a reply so I can fix it
Howdy folks!
So, if you haven’t heard, we are hard at work expanding the game. While our new sculpts are being made I’m working on the rulebook for our “weird west” expansion, tentatively named “Curse of the Skinwalker”.
The overall theme is based around US & Native American folklore creatures, with Skinwalkers (basically werewolves and other werethings) being the most prominent. There will be other beasts, some more historical, others more like urban legends. We’ll have Sasquach, chupacabras, wendigos, jackalopes, cactus cats and more. Plus 2 new professions for normal humans, Engineers and Monster Hunters, along with new weapons and skills to learn. There will also be lots of new hired guns and also official campaign rules.
I hope to have a test rulebook finalized within the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, you can check out the forums, I have an ongoing developer diary kind of post on there, where lots of other fans are throwing ideas at me:

It will take quite a while to get everything presented, to get artwork and sculpts done, etc. We will probably run a Kickstarter for the expansion some time this summer (after the current one is all done
). In addition to all the monsters, I also hope to be able to plastic horses made, so we can start doing cavalry figures too!
If you’re only interested in normal westerns, don’t worry. The core game itself won’t change, it will still have the hollywood spaghetti western theme it is now. Current gangs will get new recruits and new gangs will come to town to stake their claim. The expansion is just that, an expansion
Blackwater Gulch is now available in fine game shops worldwide! The best way to find a shop that carries or can order our miniatures is to visit our new Where to Buy page.
If you’d like to order direct from our publisher, Game Salute, you can click here for the online store.
Also, if you haven’t noticed, we just (mostly) redesigned the website and will be adding a lot more content in the coming weeks.
Keep checking the new Game Guide, that’s where you’ll find all the good stuff! And the new Infamous Gangs section is where you’ll find a page for each gang that will soon feature a lot more info, like model galleries, character bios and more. Hope ya like the new stuff! Feel free to contact us or post in the forums if you’d like to see anything else
Howdy folks!
So, we’ve gotten some complaints from a couple of recent Kickstarter backers that they haven’t gotten the pledge manager link yet. We actually posted it a couple of weeks ago as an update on the campaign page, but I think a bunch of folks just didn’t get the email from Kickstarter. That happens to me all the time with the campaigns I personally back too.. one day I just stopped getting emails, and they don’t go in my spam folder either.. strange.
Anyhoo, if you have been waiting for the Pledge Manager and haven’t gotten it yet, you can find it on our campaign page under update 22. Or just follow this link:
There will be a link to the Pledge Manager page in there
But the Pledge Manager will only work for our backers, it’s not open to the public (sorry!).
One side note, we were not able to get Shamus McFox unlocked in the campaign, but we decided to get him sculpted anyway. So he’s on the Pledge Manager too as a new add on item
In other news, the official retail release date for Blackwater Gulch is going to be February 1, 2013! Some stores are already listing & ordering the box sets. So in this initial release will consist of: The Clancy Gang Starter Set, The Vigilance Committee Starter Set, Los Bandidos Mexicanos Starter Set, The Bloodwolf Tribe Starter Set, the Hired Guns: Desperados Support Pack and the full color rulebook.
You can order all of these sets directly from shop.GameSalute.com (they might still be marked as pre-order for now), or find a store that carries or can order them at GameStoreLocator.com
Thats all for now.. more to come
Here are screenshots of the new sculpts for Wilde’s Rangers. These are digital sculpts that we’ll get done on a 3D printer to make the metal figures from. These sculpts were done by Steve Eresin. And of course, this gang will also come with the Gatling Gun that was done by Bob Naismith
Enjoy!
Some folks have asked for a PDF version of the cheat sheet listed in the back of the printed rulebook. So, here it is!
