Kickstarter Update

Just a quick update..

I recently added a FAQ listing at the bottom of the Kickstarter page with estimated shipping charges. Since there’s so many different things offered and some of it can be bulky or heavy, I had to do some math and come up with a list that covers just about everyone everywhere.

Next, I’m still waiting on more artwork. I should have the rest of the Bloodwolf Tribe soon, and the Bandidos next week. I just got a sample pic from Chessex for the Sheriff Dice, here’s what they will look like :)

If the Kickstarter ended today, I’d be ordering around 600 dice! But with 19 days to go and around $8400 raised so far, I’ll probably be ordering a LOT more than that. Which is good, the more I order, the cheaper they cost to get made :)

I’ve been getting a lot of requests from people to add more spaces with the building kits. I do want to keep them as a special thing for the early backers, however I recently added a new backing level of $150 for 3 starter sets and 4 buildings. I did that last night around midnight, and they were sold out by the time I got up in the morning! But, some people at other backing levels moved into the new slot, so there’s some other openings for now if you hurry :)

I’m pretty confident we’re going to reach the next stretch goal. Once $9000 is reached I will be announcing some other new stretch goals that will include some nice new goodies, so stay tuned :)

Kickstarter Funded in 48 hours!!

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who has backed the game so far. I’m very excited to see this succeed in just 48 hours! But let’s not stop there! I’ve just updated the Kickstarter project page created some stretch goals for the project, which are:

STRETCH GOAL #1 – $6000 – If we can reach $6000, I’ll will be able to fund a third box set. This set will be The Bloodwolf Tribe, a Native American themed gang. Concept art for this gang is still in production, but I have one figure sketched out so far, shown below. I’ll update the image as I get more!

BONUS – If we make it to $6000, every backer who pledged $30 or more will recieve specially made, custom Sheriff Dice at the rate of 1 D6 per $1500 generated. So, that will be 4 dice to start with, and the more we can make the more you will get! These dice are ONLY being created for this Kickstarter campaign and will never, ever be available ever again. These dice will be 16mm with a 6-pointed sheriff start on the #6 side.

STRETCH GOAL #2 – $9000 – If we can reach this goal, we will be able to fund a fourth box set. This set will be The Bandidos Mexicanos, a Mexican themed gang. Concept art will be produced and I’ll add images as soon as I have them. Expect to see plenty of criss-crossing bullet belts, federales, machetes and sombreros!

BONUS – If we make it to $9000, every backer who pledged $30 or more will receive The Norwegian for FREE. This Hired Gun can be added to any gang, and will have stats similar to a gang leader, with unique weapons not available to normal characters in the game. Sculpted & designed by Pedro Ramos, The Norwegian is based on a character from the AMC show “Hell on Wheels”. This model will be available for sale on our website later, however he’s being offered free to Kickstarter backers. He’ll be available probably around the same time as the Vigilance Committee figures.

Thank you again for your support! I can’t wait to see how far we can take this and start bringing you all the best Wild West figures around!

Blackwater Gulch Kickstarter Launched!

I’m very pleased to announce the launch of the Blackwater Gulch Kickstarter Program!

If you are unfamiliar with Kickstarter, it is a website that allows a company to get the funding they need for a new product or service, directly from fans and potential customers. I am using Kickstarter get the funding needed to produce box sets for the game. These sets will include 5 unique 30mm miniatures, 5 premium Character Cards and a “quickstart” rulebook, all packaged in a handy foam-lined plastic case that you can use to store and transport your figures.

Potential backers are essentially pre-ordering one of the upcoming box sets, in addition to bundled deals with scenery pieces, and even the opportunity to create your very own character or gang that will be permanently added to the storyline for the game world!

For more information, please visit my Kickstarter page at:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1763460781/blackwater-gulch-gangfights-in-the-old-west

There, you will find all the information on how to support the game, and what different packages are offered, in addition to sample sculpts and concept art for new figures that that will be included.

So, please check it out!

Thanks!

Masked Outlaw Sculpt

Got another new sculpt to share, here’s the Masked Outlaw, sculpted by Bob Naismith. He’s technically a WIP still, as I neglected to tell Bob that the game uses slotted bases, so he’s gotta go take off the sculpted bottom and turn it into a tab. I had Bob change the pose a teeny bit, changing the arm positions. In the concept art, he’s got both of his hands down. Also, his left hand will be easy to snip off and swap with a weapon hand for folks that want to do conversions.

Still waiting on the Wrassler and a new Outlaw sculpt that will be based on the color artwork I had done recently.

Here’s the pics, they’re small, but you can see every angle :)

In other news, I should finally have the Gambler figures in hand on Monday, then I’ll start packaging them and they’ll get listed on my site as pre-orders. I won’t advertise them all over for sale until I get the pro-painted pics from Golem, so that’ll be a few weeks from now. Pre-orders will be shipped out right away though, I guess more like a pre-release or something like that :) He’ll be on sale 15% off as usual, until 2 weeks after he’s officially released. So, price will be $8.49 till then :)

Get the new Character Cards!

I just completely updated the Get the Rules page, so it will hopefully be much easier to navigate now.

I’ve also added new Character Cards on the page too. For each new figure we release, there will be a printable character card to accompany it. These printable cards will match the printed cards that will come with our box sets. For the printable cards, just print them out, cut them out and fold it in half to get the front & back of your “card”. Then just stick it in a card sleeve and you’re all ready to go!

There’s also blank cards so you can just write out your own gang member’s info on each one. There’s a few different versions there for lawmen, outlaws, and plain black & white.

And, the regular roster sheet is still there too if you’d rather use that instead.

New Sculpts!

I have 2 new finished sculpts to share! First I have the Bandit sculpted by Igor (aka Brother Vinni), followed by the Gunslinger sculpted by Pedro Ramos. Both of these will be included in the upcoming Clancy Gang “starter set”. I still have 2 more sculpts I’m waiting on, for the Wrassler who will be sculpted by Patrick Keith, and Masked Outlaw who will be sculpted by Bob Naismith. Those last 2 should be done around the end of the month. Anyway, here’s the pics :)
