The Gambler Gang Leader is finished! I’d like to call it a green, but this one happens to be gray.
His weapon options will be a Bowie Knife, Hand Axe/Hatchet, Colt 45 or other revolver, a Derringer pocket pistol, and an extra hand with a deck of cards for fun. Maybe you can count them as throwing knives?
In other news, the Bounty Hunter is finally in the home stretch, and if all goes well (famous last words) I hope to have him available in a week or so

I plan to have a running list of upcoming events I plan to attend to run game demos and such. Here’s what I have planned at the moment:
Saturday, January 28 2012
Showcase Comics, Media, PA USA
Saturday, March 10 2012
Lancaster, PA USA
They’ll always be listed on the main Gangfight Games site here:
If you know of any other events that would be worth visiting to show off the game, please let me know I’m mostly limited to the general Philadelphia, PA area right now, and won’t be able to do the big ones like GenCon this year, but hopefully next year.
Also if you would be interested in demoing the game at a con or even just a game shop in your area, please let me know!
Got my very first WIP shots of the Gambler. He’s still got a ways to go, missing a lot of stuff like his coat, etc.. but I’m really happy with where it’s going
Here he is so far!
I’ll update this post with more pics as I get em…
Just a quick warning that some things on this site may look a little off for the next few days. I’m updating the site design to match the new online store site, so that everything will look and work like it’s one big site, even though it’s 2 different ones. I’m using a different hosted solution for the online store since it had all the features and security I wanted and it’s easier to set up. Anyway, the store is pretty much ready to go aside from some button images I still have to update… You can see the online store at www.gangfightgames.com. You can’t buy anything there yet, but you can see how it works. So that’s where you’ll go to buy the Bounty Hunter and other models as soon as they’re available.
I also just started a message board that will work with the same accounts as the blog, so if you signed up to download the rulebook here, then you are already registered for the board. I’m still testing it but it seems to be working good. The board url is www.blackwatergulch.com/blog/forum/. I figured that would be a better way to ask and answer questions than just leaving comments on blog posts. Also I added an area for hobby and painting and showing off pics of your models
So that’s it for now, please let me know if you discover any issues with the store and feel free to start using the message board even though it’s still under construction
I’m looking for some talented people who want to help make Blackwater Gulch and future games really great. I have an ongoing need for creative professionals or even amateurs or students looking to get into the gaming industry on the ground floor, like me .. here’s some specific positions I’m looking to fill:
Figure Sketchers: Sculptors usually like to see concept art for a figure before they start sculpting. I’m looking for someone who would like to draw “blueprints” of each model. It doesn’t need to be a highly detailed finished piece, just a sketch to show the position, movement and maybe a closeup or 2 of more detailed areas like faces or weapons. I’d also like to use some of these sketches in articles and future PDF publications.
Fluff Writers: I need some creative writing to help flesh out the “world” of Blackwater Gulch, and future games. Short stories, background pieces, history, whatever. I have a basic idea of what I imagine the setting to be, and I need someone to put it on paper in a way that doesn’t read like a textbook.
If you’re interested in helping out, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include some sample artwork or links. Thanks!
Happy New Year!
Here’s the concept art for the Doctor Gang Leader. I’m hoping to have him sculpted in February if all goes well, and released alongside the Prospector in March. The doctor will have a Colt 45 in 1 hand, and a WInchester Repeater or Sharps Longarm in the other.
Also, the Gambler green is being sculpted right about now. I hope to have some preview pics to share in the next few days. The Bounty Hunter is coming along nicely and I hope to have the final model released in the next couple of weeks. I just need to get the pro-painted models and then the models will be cast and packaged and he’ll be all set.
I’ve been hard at work designing a new website for the e-commerce software I’ll be using to run the online store. It will basically be 2 different websites (this site and the store site), but with the same look and everything linked together so no one gets lost. Here’s a preview of what it’ll look like
